I’ve worked in social media for over a decade, beginning with organic social campaigns for entertainment brands like Seriously.TV and evolving into full-scale brand storytelling and content strategy for companies like Caffè Borbone America.
What sets my work apart is my ability to blend sharp cultural awareness with a distinct comedic voice. I love finding the overlap between trends, audience psychology, and unexpected creative angles , whether that’s turning a niche internet joke into a high-performing campaign or subverting audience expectations in a way that feels both clever and authentic to the brand.
My background in comedy and editorial work has given me a strong instinct for timing, tone, and storytelling, which helps me create content that feels less like marketing and more like something people genuinely want to engage with and share.
I’ve had many videos and accounts go viral over the years, notably my novelty Instagram account @ILookLikeLauraDern1, which was featured in The New Yorker, The Chicago Tribune, Entertainment Weekly, The Daily Mail, and more, and earned follows from celebs like Jennette McCurdy and Blake Lively.
I also created a viral organic social campaign on Instagram for Showtime’s Yellowjackets, where I created custom American Girl doll versions of the cast and characters. The concept was designed to tap into nostalgia, fandom culture, and internet humor in a way that felt highly shareable and native to social platforms, helping drive organic engagement and conversation around the show.
In May 2025, I set out to grow my TikTok presence to 10K+ followers as both a monetization opportunity and a proof of concept for audience development around my comedic voice and storytelling style.
Using audience analytics to optimize posting cadence and timing, I built a daily content strategy that balanced trend participation with subversive, personality-driven content. Within the first week, multiple videos surpassed 50K views, driving rapid follower growth. Two weeks into the campaign, one video reached 2 million views in 48 hours, allowing me to surpass 10,000 followers by the following week.
At the core of my work is a belief that the best social content doesn’t feel manufactured. My background across comedy, editorial, and brand marketing allows me to create campaigns that are both strategically grounded and creatively unexpected. Whether I’m building an audience from scratch, developing brand storytelling, or identifying the right trend at the right moment, I approach social media as an art-form, a conversation, and a playground for fun ideas!
