ShopRite

In 2021, while working at Write Label, I worked closely with the Creative Director at ShopRite to create in-store messaging that aligned with their established voice and active advertising campaign for their Wholesome Pantry product line.

Working off of their motto, “Food should be just that: Food,” I wrote 15- and 30-second in-store messages for various products.

Instagram Case Study

I’ve always found Instagram to be the perfect sandbox for my niche ideas. Two ideas that reached viral success were my novelty Instagrams, @ILookLikeLauraDern1 and @CreepyAmericanGirls.

@ILookLikeLauraDern1

I used to get told I looked like Laura Dern a lot, like, a LOT. When Jurassic World came out, and Jurassic Park was playing nonstop on syndicated TV, I had strangers approaching me at bars, on the subway, on the street, truly everywhere, telling me how much I looked like her. I created the Instagram account as a goofy side project. I’d cosplay her roles in shows and movies, and recreate my favorite photoshoots as low-budget as humanly possible. Prior to Laura Dern’s resurgence into the mainstream, my account had a cult following that consisted of a fun intersection of my comedy fans and her fans. But after her Emmy win, my account took off, gaining me national attention and getting my work featured in the New Yorker, The Chicago Tribune, Entertainment Weekly, The Daily Mail and more, and earning follows from celebs like Jennette McCurdy and Blake Lively.

@CreepyAmericanGirls

During Quarantine, I wanted to get better at sewing, but fabric is expensive now. So, I busted out my old creepy American Girl dolls and started sewing clothes for them. I recreated scenes from my favorite movies and shows and set up another novelty Instagram, getting shared by writers, directors, and actors, notably from Showtime’s Yellow Jackets.

TikTok - Journey to 10K

In May 2025, I decided I wanted to reach 10,000+ followers on TikTok. I wanted to both monetize my account for extra income and build an audience that appreciated my style of comedy and storytelling to make myself more appealing to future talent agents and managers.

I set a schedule to post once a day, with my post times informed by my audience analytics. I tried a mix of content, some days following trends and some days subverting them, that leaned into my point of view and interests. After a week, I had a two posts hit over 50K views, increasing my followers by 1000.

Then fourteen days after beginning my journey to 10K, I had a post go viral, reaching 2 million views in two days. I reached 10,000 followers by the end of the following week.

Spectrum Reach

Write Label worked with Spectrum Reach to create a collection of videos based on marketing trends in 2022 and 2023. I met with the clients to discuss the project, created a brief for our freelance writers, copy edited the final deliverables (wrote the two scripts seen here), and presented materials to clients during a live feedback session.

Best Buy

written by Maria Wojciechowski

Write Label partnered with a consulting firm to produce display ads, native ads, and marketing emails for the electronics retailer, Best Buy. I ran the creative team, trained copywriters on brand guidelines, and copy edited the final deliverables to ensure quality and compliance with brand and legal guidelines. I also served as a liaison to the consulting firm, attending daily meetings with their creative team and presenting our creative work.

3M

Write Label partnered with an advertising agency to optimize Amazon product descriptions for SEO for 3M products in their B2B market. I oversaw and finalized keyword research for 500+ ASINs, created brand guidelines for Key Product Features (Amazon bullet points), trained copywriters on brand guidelines, assigned briefs to copywriters, and copyedited all deliverables to ensure quality and legal compliance.

iHeart Media

Between 2020 and 2021, I helped iHeart Media close on nearly $47 million of new, incremental, and renewal ad revenue, all directly attributed to Write Label. Read the case study here.

As the Director of Editorial at Write Label, I oversaw the development of audio ads, digital ads, and blog posts from concept to production. I worked across various industries, including healthcare & pharmaceuticals, beauty, food & beverage, and technology. I sometimes contributed as a copywriter, writing 3,000+ ads throughout my seven years at Write Label. More often, I acted as a copy editor and project manager, ensuring the copy was on brief, compliant with legal guidelines (state and federal), and delivered by the deadline.

Write Label acted as a tool for iHeart account executives to directly access a team of creatives through proprietary tech. I developed brand guidelines and training webinars that allowed us to scale our operations to keep up with client demand. I also worked with the product and development teams to create a new offering that allowed clients to request revisions on ad copy and expedite deadlines.

Write Label

Write Label was a ‘white label’ creative agency that primarily served enterprise businesses. As the Director of Editorial and Executive Creative Director, I led a team of copy editors, copywriters, audio producers, voiceover artists, and designers.

We worked with a variety of clients and brands, from U.S. Senators to Fortune 500 Companies, writing and editing jokes, speeches, and copy for marketing and advertising.

Marketing Videos

I wrote and creative directed the production of a series of explainer videos and B2B marketing ads utilizing my original tagline, “Get Creative.”
The overall budget for six videos was $500. I accomplished this task by utilizing our design team for animation and calling upon a network of freelance voiceover artists and audio producers. The final result was a cohesive campaign that stayed under budget and added an interactive touch to our website.

SpeechWriting and Punch-Up

During my time at Write Label, I wrote, copy edited, and provided comedic punch up for numerous best man speeches, roasts, interviews, and keynote speeches. Notable clients include politicians, Cory Booker and Michael Bennet, and businessman Mark Bezos.

I wrote the closing joke for Senator Booker to say at the end of his interview on The Daily Show in 2019 to encourage people to vote.

Website copy & Landing pages

In 2024, Write Label rebranded and became a specialized AI platform. I worked collaboratively with our designer and finalized the B2B copy for the website, taking the lead on writing the copy, receiving feedback from our CEO and COO, and implementing their feedback in revisions.
